1. IND 100
Concordias first dental plan is the IND 100 or Individual 100 dental plan.
This plan does not charge an annual deductible and does not have an annual maximum of benefits. It offers 100% coverage for dental procedures classified under Class I which consists of diagnostic and preventive services. These services include exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments. This plan, however, does not include basic and major dental care services.
The IND 100 is a very hassle-free plan since it does not have a waiting period, which means you automatically get benefits soon after you sign up.
2. IND 200
The next plan is the IND 200 or Individual 200.
This plan charges an annual deductible of $50 per year for each insured person with an annual maximum of $2000 per year. The deductibles will apply to class II dental services. The Class II dental services include space maintainers, periodontal maintenance, basic restorative care such as fillings, endodontics such as root canals, and repair services for crowns, inlays, onlays, and dentures. Simple extractions are also covered under this class. All these services are covered for up to 80%.
The IND 200 package also includes 100% coverage of all Class I dental services, but does not cover major dental services such as surgeries. All benefits require no waiting periods.
3. IND 300
Next is the IND 300 dental plan or Individual 300. This plan charges a deductible of $50 per year for each insured person; this will be applied to Class II dental services. There is also an annual maximum per insured person of $1,500 per year.
Under this plan, Class I diagnostic and preventive services are covered up to 50% and Class II basic services are covered up to 50% as well. Class III major services, however, are not included in the plan. As the other two plans, the IND 300 plan requires no waiting periods, so you can enjoy 50% discounts as soon as you sign up.
4. IND 400
If you are having more complicated dental problems, you will save more in the long run by availing of a higher dental plan.
For this, Concordia dental insurance offers 100% coverage for Class I diagnostic and preventive services, 80% coverage for Class II basic services such as space maintainers, periodontal maintenance, and crown, inlay, onlay, and denture repairs, and 50% coverage for Class II basic services including basic restorative care, endodontics, and basic extractions.
This plan also offers 50% coverage for Class III major services. While the other benefits require no waiting period, the Class III services discounts only apply after a one-year waiting period. The Class III major services include complex oral surgery, general anesthesia, non-surgical and surgical periodontics, prosthetics, implants, crowns, inlays, and onlays.
5. IND 500
Lastly, Concordia dental insurance also offers the IND 500. This plan requires a $50 deductible per year per insured person for the Class II and Class III services.
The benefits have an annual maximum of $2000 per year per person. Whats included in this plan are 60% discounts on Class II basic services such as basic restorative care, endodontics, and simple extractions as well as on Class III major services. The main advantage of this plan, despite not including Class I diagnostic and preventive service coverage, is that the Class III coverage already applies after a 6-month waiting period.
